A REVIEW of GIS DAY 2022

As in previous years, GIS Day was a resounding success. It was very highly attended and
featured a variety of good speakers. The student posters were tremendous as well.

A REVIEW of GIS DAY 2021

On November 12th, 2021 an estimated 100 members of the campus and local community joined the Department of Geography at Binghamton University in a celebration of GIS Day, the annual salute to geospatial technology and its power to transform and improve our lives. GIS day provided students, faculty and the community with the opportunity to explore, share and learn about the application of Geographic Information Science (GIS) to problems that affect the environment and community. Presentations and student poster exhibits showcased the use of GIS in geography, environmental science, urban planning, archaeology, geology, biology, ecology, sociology, public administration, public safety, community development, and others.
